Not much to say for myself the last few days. Easter weekend, invaded by pestilence yet again, blah.
- Our house is being shingled today. Unfortunately, the weather calls for a high of +1 and 4-5cm of snow. Better Jim doing it than me.
He’s a nimble guy for pushing 70. The guy was scrambling around on the roof like a mountain goat at 7:45 this morning. - The hive construction is going well. The body’s done and it has legs. Now for a roof and the top bars. I should be able to have it finished by the weekend. I’ll post pics then. Damn, it had better warm up soon.
- With some luck, Pete and I are heading to the cottage this weekend. By luck, I’m hoping that the ferrymen will have cut a track in the ice for the boat. One of these days, I’ll go over and watch. I’ve never seen a ferry track being carved out of the ice with chainsaws.

It is cold!!!!!!!!! Bees are such a good idea. Plus your kids will learn an unusual lesson.
gary’s last blog post..Tink checks in: I AM AWESOME
You bet, Gary. How to deal with stings, etc … LOL
It had better warm up soon. I’m picking up $125 worth of bees in mid-April, and I’m not keen on having then starve to death if nothing’s blooming.
can he/you push it back 2 weeks for delivery?
Greg’s last blog post..Phun with Photoshop
Dunno. I’m going to call him this afternoon.
Take pictures of the ice cutting, Gordo. I’d love to see that also, it sounds really interesting (although cold!)
