The forecast was just for flurries, but it’s been snowing like crazy since I got to work this morning.
Here’s the Union Street webcam on campus for a live peek:
Still not enough for winter cubbing on Saturday, though. We’re postponing that until later in February.

Probably no good walking on lake ice either eh?
Oh Gary – I’m sure it’s fine for you to walk on the ice. Just think – with snow on it you won’t even notice it’s ice! lol
It snowed here too today. 4 inches this morning just in time for the ride to work. Temps are dropping into the ‘minus’ area tonight thanks to the cold air from ‘Up North’…sigh. Tomorrow is supposed to be frigid and high winds. Thanks Gord.
Anytime, Kate! It’s -18 with a -30 windchill this morning here. We didn’t get a load of snow, but it’s nice to have the ground the proper colour for January again.
Snow is a bad four-letter word… well, it is in Iowa anyway.
Man I hate to admit it but I’m feeling like we haven’t gotten enough snow this year. I do love watching it fall. We’ve been devoid of snowfall now for at least three weeks I think. I’m jealous.
Don’t be, Maggie. It amounted to a few cm and that’s it. Other than the frozen lake, it looks and mostly feels like November here. Sigh.
