No, this is isn’t about a car. On the surface, product recalls are a good thing. It shows that the company has recognized a problem with a product and is pulling them all back in to fix or replace them.

I’m not a fan of the Olympics. I’m not sure that that really needs to be said here, but I’ll throw that out there anyway.
Be that as it may, I parked my behind on the couch last night to watch the opening ceremonies. It’s always a good show and I was curious to see how they’d present Canada to the world.
Too bad it doesn’t exist any more.
You may have heard the outrageous story last week about a school vice-principal wetting his pants in terror and calling the bomb squad upon seeing an 11-year-old student’s electronic project? No, I’m not kidding. At a so-called technology magnet school. That’s bad enough, but the kid and his parents are now supposed to get “counselling” for, presumably, daring to let their child think for himself and experiment.

I’m still alive, I just haven’t had much to write about. Well, nothing much healthy. Just things that make my blood pressure skyrocket.
I’m really trying to concentrate more on the good things and not the idiocy of the world. To that end, I’ve mostly weaned myself from the CBC as my daily soundtrack. Don’t get me wrong, I love the mother broadcaster still. She’s just not all that healthy for me to listen to all the time. I changed my browser start page away from Google News as well. It’s good. This way, I don’t wind up dwelling on the continuing stream of depravity and outrage in the world.
On December 6, 1989, Marc Lepine stormed a classroom of Montreal’s École Polytechnique toting a semi-automatic rifle. After separating the men from the women, he declared his hate for feminists and opened fire on the women.
