As I said, this has been a dreary, damp, crappy winter. One thing I can be very glad of, though: I don’t live in the Arctic.
I like the cold. Love it, in fact. But, the darkness would really drive me squirrelly.
I had to take the bee-mobile in to the garage this morning: the muffler is gone and driving a small wagon with the sound of a tractor-trailer isn’t any fun. The muffler developed a hole last summer while we were at the cottage, but I managed to silence it with a liberal application of putty and a couple of bandages.
The patch started to let go on Friday as Bridget I were making our way to Kate & Jim’s. It completely let go shortly after leaving their place to come home. Let me tell you: driving for 6 hours in a car with a failed muffler is nobody’s idea of enjoyable.
I’m not a fan of the Olympics. I’m not sure that that really needs to be said here, but I’ll throw that out there anyway.
Be that as it may, I parked my behind on the couch last night to watch the opening ceremonies. It’s always a good show and I was curious to see how they’d present Canada to the world.
Poor Beaker. He gets no respect:
The forecast was just for flurries, but it’s been snowing like crazy since I got to work this morning.
